Hi, I’m Vanni the author of Happy Foodprints.

Hamburg is the birthplace of my Vietnamese-German roots and my spiritual compass. I currently reside in the charming Swiss city of Bern, yet I often feel nostalgia about Seoul where I spent a year amidst bustling streets and hidden food alleyways.

What drives me most are the changes of life and being able to adapt to them. I have training and experience in international development and now work in the sustainable mobility field for a train and public transport company.

To balance that out, I draft blog articles (publicly challenging myself) to exercise writing about subjects that touch and engage my life most: love for food, living away from home, and Vietnamese cuisine - my culinary heritage that binds me to my roots.
