Comment on September 17th 2024: These ribbons were hung in remembrance of the 304 victims, of who 250 were students, who died during the ferry tragedy that occured in April 2014. The sinking of the MS Sewol caused a commotion among South Koreans as it was a preventable tragedy.[1]
