Okonomiyaki, Takoyaki and Yakisoba
My first time eating Okonomiyaki in Osaka, Japan.

Takoyaki is mostly eaten as a snack. These are small wheat flour balls with cabbage, octopus topped with mayonnaise, okonomiyaki sauce, dried bonito flakes and seaweed powder. They are real small taste bombs. 😋

Okonomiyaki could be described as the Japanese pancake made with wheat-flour, cabbage, eggs, tempura bits, bacon, green onion and like Takoyaki topped with mayonnaise, okonomiyaki sauce, dried bonito flakes and seaweed powder. We had the one with tomato and cheese on our first day in Osaka.

On our last day we went to have diner at an Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba place. This was a typical place for the two dishes where the chef cooks your food in front of you on the large frying places and serves your food directly in front of you on a frying plate. It's called Teppanyaki and is very entertaining and delicious. You should definitely try it when visiting Osaka! 😄
